Tips on recognizing an effective corporate travel planner.

Each organization, business or corporation manages their travel needs differently. Sometimes executive travel is handled by personal assistant. In larger corporations, there are internal departments that handle the travel requirements for the entire organization. In our own experience, there is no set methodology to handle and manage all travel and transportation needs for a small or mid-sized Corporation. Many times, one of the better solutions, depending on budget, is utilizing corporate travel planners.

In an effort to help your corporation or business sort through the corporate travel challenges, we are posting part 1 of a new corporate travel planners blog series. What we hope to provide within this blog series, are some specific options as well as research on various corporate travel planner services. One of the reasons we have chosen this corporate travel entity is simply due to the fact that they have achieved a number 1 organic listing on the search engine Google. This makes the statement to us that they have at least invested the time and effort as well as technological understanding of how to provide relevant information to you the corporate traveler. Another distinction between an average corporate travel planner and CTP who we are presenting today, is a healthy understanding between the differences of corporate travel, luxury travel, group travel and vacation travel. Many travel organizations lump these groups into one. This can be a costly mistake for the consumer as these different forms or styles of travel can be very different so the details once again can prove to be invaluable. To give you a little bit of an idea as to the differences between these types of travel are as follow: there are many components that separate group travel, corporate travel, luxury travel or vacation travel can be the use of private jet services if required (and affordability), chauffeured car or limousine service, direct communication and management of exclusive hotels, yacht charters, destination arrangements, cruise research and planning, passport and visa accuracy and concierge, meeting services all the way to travel insurance. The point here is that there are so many components of a successful business trip, luxury travel, adventure or even a wedding, that the details and the right corporate event planners can make all the difference in the world.
