Paired with live bugs and colorful specimens from the Academys world-renowned invertebrate collection, Bugs Outside the Box provides a surprising and rarely seen look at these amazing creatures.
This extensive online exhibit presents the life and works of Joseph Leidy, an influential 19th Century paleontologist, anatomist, microscopist, and teacher.
Peter Arvell Browne’s hair albums are among the more unusual holdings of the Ewell Sale Stewart Library & Archives. One of the albums contains hair from our first presidents.
Charles Willson Peale’s “Mammoth,” Cuvier’s “Revolutions,” Buffon’s “American Degeneracy,” Jefferson’s “Giant Claw,” and Big Bone Lick are parts of the story behind our third president’s fossil collection.
